LexTech- Center for Law, Entrepreneurship & Innovation conducted a One-Day Master-Class on Social Entrepreneurship on 7th January, 2020. This master class was conducted in collaboration with Youth for Sustainability. Youth for Sustainabilityis a platform by?strong>Human Circle?or the creative young minds of India to come together for experiential challenges that will broaden their mindset and move them closer to what they love doing. Their endeavour is to connect the top youth influencers with the industry leaders through an engaging platform. They have recently launched their Odisha Chapter.
The team of Human Circle invited LexTech centre for the pre-event and the opening ceremony of Odisha Chapter 2020. The pre-event had a video chat with Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, an Indian engineer, innovator and education reformists. He is the founding-director of the?tudents’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh?SECMOL), which was founded in 1988 by a group of students who had been in his own words, the ‘victims’ of an alien education system foisted on?adakh. He was popularised after the movie “3 idiots” for being the real life inspiration for the character “Phunsukh Wangdu”.?????/p>
The masterclass was conducted by Punyasloka Panda, an alumnus of Ashoka university explained the various nuances of Social Entrepreneurship helping creating a sustainable future. He discussed various success stories wherein regional cultures were integrated with entrepreneurship. The case studies provided a perspective on the use of cultural and regional customs & practices as an enabler to ideas. Subsequently, he conducted several activities involving networking, deliberations and idea generation directed at solving a specific social issue, thereby to cultivating and bringing out the skills required for social entrepreneurship. He concluded by laying down his future endeavours, including the Young India Challenge where he expects such ideas to be brought to fruition.
