Centre for International Trade Law

The Centre for International Trade Law is a research centre of National Law University Odisha established in 2015. The Centre is geared primarily towards research. The Centre strives to produce high quality and cutting-edge research in the field of International Trade Law and International Investment Law.

ANNUAL REPORT 2023-2024

NLUO Centre for International Trade Law had a fruitful year from July 2023 to August 2024. Following are the accomplishments of the centre:

The Centre published an edited volume Women and Trade: The Indian Context in collaboration with Thomson and Reuters in January 2024.
The centre collaborated with Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CITIL), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Satwik Shekhar 2024of CITIL in an online interaction on January 18, informed NLUO students of International Trade Law and students of Trade Remedy Measures about the WTO program of Trade Lab. This is a clinical course on international trade law. Currently two NLUO students have enrolled in the trade lab program.

Prof. Sheela Rai, Director of the centre conducted a two-credit course on Introduction to WTO Jurisprudence from July 1, 2024 to August 10, 2024. 101 students enrolled for this course from all over India. The course was conducted online.
